Rolex Viceroy Ref. Unknown
Rolex Viceroy Ref. Unknown
olex Viceroy Unknown Ref. with a manual wind Rolex engraved movement (unknown calibre).
This is far from an all-original watch, the interestingly-textured dial marked by "Swiss" at the 6 hour marker including the subseconds dial, the silvered dagger markers highlighted by offsetting hour markers and copper dauphine hands were placed in a skeletonized gold-plated case coupled to a factory and period correct gold Rolex crown. This watch has had a recent service.
Case diameter 35.5mm excluding crown, 38mm including. This measures 42.8mm lug to lug with a 18mm lug width and 13.9mm thickness.
The serial dates this watch to approximately the late 1930's-early 1940's.
I understand the Viceroy was a Canadian/Commonwealth-exclusive watch and was generally pre-war/war-time in distribution.
This watch is complimented by a well-paired and ever so soft Aaron Bespoke (@aaronbespokee) tan Ostrich leather strap and a Rolex gold buckle.
